It’s always important to have some alone time with the husband. Which is why Ben and I decided to take advantage of our first wedding anniversary for a quick weekend getaway! Thank you, dear grandparents, for looking after the kids! ;p
We stayed at Bayud Boutique Resort, a beautiful (should I say, Bayudiful) beachfront resort tucked away in the quiet side of Siargao.
We were greeted by this gorgeous island girl by the entrance!
More artworks were spotted at their dining area, where you can enjoy your breakfast!
Our breakfast view–Siargao style! ;p
They even have super cute floaters you can borrow while you enjoy your cocktails by the pool! (Snaps for having a kiddie pool too!!)
Pinterest-worthy signs by the beach!
Walk along the shore and enjoy the pristine beach–only a few steps from our Seaview room!
We then decided to swing by Kermit Surf & Dive EcoCamp,
where Ben signed up for surf lessons, while I devour this monster pizza:
Brick-oven pizza with Gorgonzola, Extra extra Parma ham (YAASSS!!) and Arugula
The next day, we woke up bright and early for the must-do island hopping! We visited 3 islands: Guyam, Daku and Naked.
Everything in this place is IG-worthy!
We had our lunch in one of the cottages in Dako Island:
Look at that spread!!! And yup, that’s for TWO!
Then we hopped back in our boat to visit the Naked Island, where you can enjoy a vast island of nothing but fine white sand!
Island-style Landian ;p
After that sun-kissed trip, we decided to go back to Bayud and enjoyed the best massage I’ve ever had!
Hi ate, you’re the best!
Afterwards, my husband asked me to dress up for our anniversary dinner:
Pretty dinner set-up, just outside our room!
Shrimp and Wagyu Cubes
Pork Kebab
Kare-Kare
Crabs — The star of the evening!
We even had a yummy moist chocolate cake for dessert!
My heart was as full as my tummy!
Our first anniversary trip without the kids was truly a great jumpstart to our many many anniversary trips ahead!
